The Law of Patrimony is that part of the private law which regulates the relationships between persons with respect to their means. In this context, “Means” refers to the sum total of a person’s assets and liabilities, in other words; their entire estate.

Thus, our specialisation lies in the Law of Succession. Enabling us to assist clients to plan the dissolution of their deceased estates better, in the event of death.  The administration of such deceased estates is usually attended to quickly and seamlessly where someone had planned timeously and attended to the drawing of a will and last testament. The winding up of deceased estates takes much longer where someone dies without a will (intestate). In such cases, the law of intestate succession will determine who the heirs of the deceased are going to be.
